The Druk Path involves daily hikes of 4–6 hours with sustained ascents and descents at high altitude (up to ~4,110 m). A good fitness level and prior hiking experience are recommended.
Bring broken-in hiking boots, moisture-wicking layers, a warm insulated jacket, rain shell, hat and gloves, sun protection, a refillable water bottle or hydration system, and optional trekking poles. A small daypack is useful for Tiger’s Nest and each trekking day.
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) generally offer clearer skies and stable conditions for the Druk Path and Tiger’s Nest. Early winter can also be clear but colder; midsummer sees more rain and cloud.
